I left a VP role to document the stories no one else is telling.
I spent 12 years as a professional dancer/choreographer until I outgrew it. I loved was helping dancers launch their careers, so I went into workforce development full-time. Scaled from career coach to Senior Director, led global teams, served thousands of learners. I loved that work, too.
But there was always a quiet voice: You're supposed to be a producer. I ignored it. I couldn't see the path forward. How do you leave salary, insurance, and stability for something you can't explain? So I suppressed it. Until I couldn't anymore. Then, I left to build The Purpose Post.
After supporting thousands of professionals, I know what keeps people stuck: money, insurance, caregiving, fear. And I know what they need: real examples of people who were scared like them and found a way anyway. That's what we do. We document the actual paths - the conversations, timelines, doubt, courage. The parts other stories skip. Because I needed those examples, too.
